February 12

Hope you guys remember Valentine's Day is on Saturday. Just trying to help you stay out of trouble. I'm doing some small things this year every day before Valentines. Just a few reminders of how important my lovely bride is to me. I am having a little trouble finding a heart shaped remote though.

Friday February 13

We're traveling to Cassville to visit 'the twins'. Anita has a set of twin cousins and one of them has been nominated for the Basketball Tip Off Queen. They're great girls and we enjoying having them as part of our lives. We do have the dogs and all our gear with us. We are traveling on to the cabin for the weekend after we're through with the assembly.

Late night update. Natalie won! She's such a great girl. A very gracious winner and such a poised young lady. Of course we think just as much of Olivia. Who was also very proud of her sister.

February 14th-Happy Valentines to the most beautiful person I know. She also happens to be my lovely bride.

What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than a hike to a new waterfall!. We're off with the dogs in the back of the SUV prancing all over the place with the excitement of getting to 'go'. They don't care where just as long as they get to go with us.

The road to Haw's Creek Falls was great until the last 2 miles. It was pretty much 4 wheeling after that. The trail got so bad that I had to get out and let Anita drive with my guidance to keep the wheels in the right places. After we got to the bottom of the trail her comment was, 'Not exactly what I had in mind for a stress free Saturday outing'. I must say she's quite the 4 wheel driver.

Sunday February 15th

Foggy with ice droplets frozen to the deck. We're off to see another couple of water falls. Hammerschmidt Falls and Pearl Spring Falls. Hammerschmidt looked pretty sad with all the tree damage from the recent ice storm. Pearl Springs was running nicely without any tree damage. This water fall is down in the Boxley Valley where they didn't have any damage.
